| Your Professional Wordsmith
Large and very successful businesses, ministries, and churches sometimes establish publications departments to oversee time-consuming responsibilities such as producing print media. However, not every organization is positioned to make such an advanced move. In these instances, services such as these are contracted to people such as myself; a professional wordsmith.
Have you ever read something in print from a church or other business, only to find obvious errors or found that it wasn’t well written? Have you, yourself, hired a very low-cost writer or editor to complete a project, only to find you got what you paid for? These unfortunate situations occur much too often. I know first hand, as I’ve had to clean up many of them for the unhappy customers of others who claim to be professional writers, editors and proofreaders. Cheaper is not the way to receive quality communication in print. It is imperative that you communicate effectively and release your information with the highest level of excellence. This may mean the difference between failure and success.
Ghostwriting Has God called you to release a book, or have you been invited to write an article for another ministry or publication but you can’t find enough time to collect your thoughts and put them on paper? Maybe you’ve been solicited for articles for major magazines? I can write those for you! This is called ghostwriting, and it can vary from a small article, general correspondence, to a major book project. The price for ghostwriting depends on the complexity of the project.
Editing and Proofing There is more than one type of editing service that I provide. For instance, will a project require developmental editing or line editing? A thorough editing project can vary in price. In most cases, this price is bundled in with the ghostwriting price if that service is being provided.
In editing, my goal is to enhance readability, uniformity, establish cohesiveness and audience captivity to name only a few. I never edit to a point of changing your message, characters or plots.
Proofing service fees also vary. A number of factors are involved, such as, does your project require only light polishing, enhancing, etc.? Proofing services include changes in punctuation, grammar, syntax, and spelling, subject-verb agreement, and word usage. This service is generally incorporated in with editing services. |
